The open sauna sessions at Jyväskylä's Juurikkasaari in the summer of 2026. Welcome to sauna and swim in Lake Päijänne! You can also reach us by local buses no. 16 and 21.
Come and enjoy the summer of Juurikkasaari in the gentle sauna heat by Lake Päijänne! Juurikkasaari organizes open sauna sessions four days a week (Mon, Tue, Wed, Sun) during the summer season. The sauna is mixed-gender, so please wear a swimsuit. Between sauna rounds, you can take a dip from the pier or the child-friendly sandy beach. The sauna facilities are freely available: showers, changing rooms, and a toilet. We have three different saunas you can enjoy. A traditional wood-fired sauna, a scenic electric sauna, and a wood-heated igloo sauna. Check the opening hours on our website. From the award-winning summer terrace, you can grab refreshing drinks and delicious grilled treats from the beach grill. Payments can be made on site or in advance through our online store.
