Miilu elää! Voice choir

The Voice choir concert is the highlight of the Miilu elää! choir event.

Voice is a mixed choir of about 25 singers, whose main repertoire consists of gems from pop and rock music. Behind the intense, expressive, and sometimes fast-paced performances lies dedicated training. The traditional stiffness is noticeably absent when the equation includes a band supporting the choir, Solitary Company. Of course, this group can also handle a cappella performances, but in its element, Voice shines accompanied by its amazing band. Voice's roots are in Hankasalmi, but today the choir has nearly wholly become Jyväskylä-based. The choir is led by Tarja Erkkilä, who has successfully guided Voice since its founding in 1999. In 2011, Voice won the 'Finland's Best Choir' competition organized by Yle TV2. The concert is the highlight of the Miilu elää! choir event.
