KADOTUS 2026: THE HAUNTED, HIDEOUS DIVINITY AND HARD DOMESTIC ACTS The Hellmikuinen Kadotus Metal Meeting is being organised for the third time. Swedish The Haunted and Italian Hideous Divinity are the international names at the Kadotus festival, also featuring Amoral and other domestic acts. The indoor festival Kadotus Metal Meeting, which has established its place in mid-February, will be organised for the third time on 13.-14.2.2026 at Tanssisali Lutakko in Jyväskylä. The climax of the heavy Valentine's Day weekend is the Swedish band The Haunted, who will be celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2026. In spring 2025, the band released a new studio album Songs of Last Resort, as long as eight years after their previous one. Their visit to Lutakko is even longer ago, the last time The Haunted took the Lutakko stage was in 2014. The second foreign name of Kadotus is the Italian Hideous Divinity, who can be found in the Friday programme. This Roman formation caressed the eardrums of the Finnish metal audience at the Hellsinki Metal Festival 2024 and is now back to kick some asses with their technical blackened death metal. The band, which originally started operating in Norway in 2007, released their latest album Unextinct in 2024 on Century Media Records. The same metal company, which is highly respected worldwide, has also long been the publisher of The Haunted's albums. Closing the Kadotus Friday programme is the death metal favourite Amoral, who reactivated after eight silent years and is currently playing shows to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album Decrowning. Amoral is finally returning to Jyväskylä in February. The plan is to continue playing mainly Decrowning material, performed by the musicians who played on that album. The mini-festival lineup is complemented by the hot fresh death metal names Cryptic Hatred and Omnivortex, as well as Marianas Rest, who have been brewing their doom-influenced expression towards perfection for a few years longer.
