Eid Festival

We are excited to announce the upcoming Eid Festival in Jyväskylä, taking place on Sunday, March 22, 2026!

Eid is a joyful celebration that marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting, reflection, and togetherness for Muslims around the world. It’s a time to share happiness, express gratitude, and strengthen community bonds. Our festival in Jyväskylä brings people from all cultures and backgrounds together to celebrate unity, friendship, and cultural diversity through art and creativity. We are calling for performers. Alongside the performances, we will also arrange a food gathering, such as a Pitha Utshob (Pitha Festival). This part of the celebration is all about sharing cultural traditions, flavours, and experiences with each other. It is a wonderful moment to enjoy the taste of tradition while connecting with people from different backgrounds and celebrating the unity and warmth that Eid brings. CALL FOR PERFORMERS We welcome individual performers, groups and associations to participate in the cultural program. Performances can be in any language and from any cultural background, as long as they connect to the spirit of Eid or reflect cultural expression, joy, or community. You can participate through: Singing or instrumental music, Dancing performances, Stand-up comedy, Short drama or stage acts, Video presentation of Eid celebrations in your region, Photo display or artistic visual representation (as long as you are the author of them), or any other creative performances. Whether you perform solo or represent a group or association, we warmly invite you to share your culture and creativity with the community. Let’s celebrate the beauty of Eid and cultural diversity together here in Jyväskylä!
