Kentala & Polso: Mysteerisonaattien salaisuudet

Baroque violinist Kreeta-Maria Kentala and harpsichordist-organist Tea Polso will play five Mystery Sonatas by Heinrich Ignaz Biber.

Mystery Sonatas describe "sacred mysteries," biblical descriptions of Jesus' life. In each sonata, the violin has a different tuning, which emphasizes the uniqueness of each mystery. The content and history of the works will be presented at the event by Doctor of Music and cantor Martti Laitinen. Kreeta-Maria Kentala, Baroque violin Tea Polso, Harpsichordist-cembalist Martti Laitinen, Presenter The concert is free of charge. If you wish, you can pay an amount of your choice for the concert. The concert is part of the Jyväskylä Parish Summer Concerts series, which will be held 30.7.-27.8. in churches in the city centre.
