Kentala & Polso: Mysteerisonaattien salaisuudet

Baroque violinist Kreeta-Maria Kentala and harpsichordist-organist Tea Polso will play five Mystery Sonatas by Heinrich Ignaz Biber.

Mystery Sonatas describe "sacred mysteries," biblical descriptions of Jesus' life. In each sonata, the violin has a different tuning, which emphasizes the uniqueness of each mystery. The content and history of the works will be presented at the event by Doctor of Music and cantor Martti Laitinen.
