Contemporary Classics – The Kuntsi Foundation’s art collection
Kuntsi Foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary by displaying a part of its remarkable art collection in Jyväskylä, the town where the founder, consul Simo Kuntsi (1913–1984) was born.
The Kuntsi collection is one of the most outstanding collections in Finland housing many beloved classic works by key names of Finnish contemporary art. The exhibition showcases works by well-known artists including Juhani Harri, Kimmo Kaivanto, Ahti Lavonen, Leena Luostarinen, Kimmo Pyykkö, Marjatta Tapiola ja Kain Tapper. The curator of the exhibition is Ms Anne-Maj Salin, Kuntsi Foundation Representative, Head of Museum Emerita.
