Illuminated Christmas Park
The Illuminated Christmas Park will once again delight the townspeople and guests in Church Park!
The Illuminated Christmas Park is built in the park for the third time and has become a very popular and attractive destination as part of Jyväskylä's Christmas center.
As usual, spectacular light reindeer with their sleigh, 3-meter light balls and a light fountain acquired as a new addition last year arrive in the park again. Atmospheric lanterns and smaller light balls also create an atmosphere on the fairways for those arriving at the park. In addition, the park is illuminated in winter tones around the church. The café in Kirkkopuisto, which was previously renovated, has been completed and Bistro Kirkkopuisto is now creating its own part in the park's atmosphere.
The goal is to bring something new to the park every year, and this year, guests will be delighted with a captivating 3D animated Christmas light work on the facade of City Hall, which will launch after the Independence Day (6.12.2021). The implementation is handled by Theoriz, a native of Lyon, Europe's largest city of light, which has gained a reputation for its projection work around the world.
The Christmas lights can be enjoyed the whole Christmas season, even several times, as the lights will be in the park from the Christmas opening on November 20th. over Epiphany, until Sunday, January 9, 2022. The light work on the facade of the town hall will be on view from 7 December 2021 to 2 January 2022.
