Event date
Event start time
Event end time
Date when an event is occurring. The end date is optional.
Note: for event series this date represents the whole span of recurring events so the time values are not usually meaningful. Each recurring event will have their own date and time values which users will see in lists etc.
If a date vignette text is set, it will be shown instead of just the event dates. This can be used to represent complex recurring events in a human-friendly form: "Every weekend night 22–04", "Mondays and Tuesdays 1.6.–31.8.", etc.
Event type
The date type of event affects how the event is displayed in different places.
  • Single event is the most simple type and doesn't have any dependencies.
  • Event series has repeat dates available, which will generate recurring events in that series upon creation of the event series, but they cannot be changed after creation. Event series are not visible in listings, only the recurring events in series are.
  • Recurring events which are attached to an event series, will display most values from the event series, unless they are stored in the recurring event's own fields.

These date repeat rules will be used for generating a recurring event per repeat date when creating an event series. Events in a series get their values from the series. Individual events in the series can be edited after creation like any other event.
